We recently received our order of
100% Cotton Italian Ribbon and I've got to tell you it's fabulous!
To give it a test, I whipped up this little bag to hold surprises when Tuesday and I have an adventure day.
I used a piece of pre-washed linen I had lying around, stamped on one side and stitched the ribbon on the other.
Stamping is a lot of fun but it's a bit more work when you're helping a four year old do her stamping at the same time. All you professional stampers out there I hope you're not horrified seeing all that ink sit on the stamps; we did manage to get things cleaned up!
Back to my project... After washing and drying (just enough so that it was still damp), it came out a bit wrinkled, but that's the nature of linen.
After pressing the bag, I think it looks great!
As you can see the colors didn't fade at all. They are just as bright and crisp as before they were washed.
I'm definitely taking home more of this
Italian Ribbon for a few more test projects! I'm loving it!
