Life in the Garden...

It's been a slow start to see blossoms form in the garden, but finally the first buds from the Sweet Peas. Soon their color will fill the vines.

Our peas are growing in their pods, making a nice treat on a summer day!

Ancho chili's will taste wonderful in the fall...

If the slugs don't get them first.

Green Beans are not to far away from the dinner table.

Raspberries are always good to nibble on, however my stomach does suffer a bit.

And there's still a few more strawberries left!

Protecting the Garden...

I'm quite aware this looks a little goofy, especially since it's almost summer, but it's been cold and wet here in the Pacific NW.

And I really want to protect these tender greens from the elements...

I think they look pretty darn happy under the tent!

Now if we could just have a little sunshine and warmer weather they would be really happy!

Spring Color...

I just love the fresh color that comes with Spring! I could spend countless hours outside in the garden but so many other things keep me busy... I'm thankful for the longer days, giving me time to fit a little more in!

Sharing Natures Bounty...

It's that time of year when our gardens produce enough to give to others. We were fortunate enough to receive this bounty from Amber!

Tonight we made a delicious salad with the fresh tomatoes.  Tomorrow I'll be creating a Fig, Procuito and Arugula Pizza for dinner, and those carrots will probably be cut up for lunch!

Fresh fruits and veggies straight from the garden are so wonderful! Thank you, Thank you!

Calming Water Feature...

There's something to be said for the soothing effect of water gently flowing over rocks...

It brings a tranquil reaction...

August in the Garden...

Summer is such a busy time with friends, family, play, work and just plain life that it's nice to simply take a break and appreciate things taking place in the garden.

Like an abundance of grapes growing on the vines, a tomato trying to turn red and several yellow zucchine growing larger everyday.
