It's been a busy couple of weeks since starting my "New Adventure"... Packing Up... Unpacking... Organizing... Ordering... all so that I could take the reigns of "Ribbon Jar" from my daughter.
A couple of months ago when Amber asked if I would be interested in taking over her business I didn't think she was really serious; and if she was, I was hesitant with all the things I would need to learn. She's run a very successful business and I didn't want to fail. But the more I thought about it I decided it would be a great opportunity for me to learn, keep current with trends and work with "Color"!
So when I asked her if she really wanted me to run Ribbon Jar and she responded with a very excited and positive voice!... I knew she was serious when she squealed!
We've been planning the move for a couple of months and while I'm very familiar with filling the orders, there was a lot I needed to learn. Amber is a great coach! She's very patient helping me master tasks that are second nature to her. I've taken a lot of notes so I'm not asking the same questions over and over. She's here to help as much as I need and more!
I must say I'm so excited about this opportunity! It's such a great fit with my interior design business! I love working with color and this is almost like being in a candy store... only a lot less calories. When my first order arrived Amber asked who helped me choose the ribbon to which I replied "I did it myself"... she responded "Wow you did a good job"... So I think I'm on the right track!
I've spent the last couple of days adding new ribbon to the site... Here's a peek...
I've brought back "birds", added a few "safari prints" and some "funky primroses"
I've also added a lot of "new trims" keeping the seamstress in mind!
Then there's pom pom trim, more "birds" and "reversible dots"!
And I've got a bit more ribbon to add... with more ribbon on the way!
Thanks to all my family and friends for all their support! Love You!
