Another element nearly completes the nursery for the little cowboy, the wagon wheel.
All that's needed now is the crib!
We knew we wanted a wagon wheel in the room, but once we finished the curtains and pillows we wanted to add color to liven things up. Babies love color! Inspiration came from pictures once in Julia's family, cute Raggedy Ann & Andy:
I sprayed the wheel with paint to give it a good base and then I found these in the garage:
Lucky for me I have a very creative artist in the family! Thanks Amber, the perks Mom has for storing paint supplies!
I was a bit concerned on how it might be hung but then my creative son came up with the idea of using plumbing material. He's a problem solver when it comes to figuring out how to put things together.
So first we attached a flange to the wall, then another part:
Put the wheel on and then the washer:
With the cap on it looks like it came from a wagon:
It goes quite well with the other artwork the cowboy's "daddy" has found for the room:
And now with the changing table put together:
They're ready!
