Master Suite needs a Redo!

When we built our home 16 years ago I loved everything about it! And while I still love our home it's a bit dated. I mean seriously Polished Brass is not the "Hot" finish it used to be, unfortunately it's what we chose. Yes, I have lots of Polished Brass light fixtures and hardware. 

   

 The Master Bedroom had the most lovely Laura Ashly wallpaper which was removed about 10 years ago and painted two shades of green... I know 10 years is a long time but it's was really a great green.  

And it went well with the "pale peachy-pink" tile in the Master Bath that we had chosen to go with the fabulously dated Laura Ashly wallpaper. 

I'm thinking about removing the wallpaper in the Bathroom, texturing and just painting it and the Master Bedroom. I'll also replace the polished brass light fixtures and hardware. I just haven't settled on the perfect color, but I'm thinking about a gray/plum or brown for the bedroom and white for bathroom. I welcome any thoughts you might have for color regarding walls or hardware finish. While I'd love to replace all the hardware it just isn't possible at this time.

I do hope to incorporate this wonderful painting Amber did for me while in school.
